Cuff weights: Puff weights are great for amputees. They can be used for both upper and lower limb exercises. They’re great for upper limb amputees as they can be wrapped around your arm. They can also be used by lower limb amputees as they can be wrapped around your leg.

Smart plugs and light switches : As a lower limb it takes a lot of effort to get up and down to turn something on or off. Its frustrating when you take off your leg just to realize you left the light on in another room. If you are an amputee who lost both arms you know how difficult it can be to push the on and off button on certain devices. Smart plugs and smart light switches are great ways to help amputees within the home.

Alexa: A smart device like an Alexa can help in amputee control devices in the home. When connected to other smart devices you can use your voice to control those devices. This limits the need to get up and down.

Robot vacuum: Robot vacuums are great for all types of amputees because it saves you time and effort. For upper limb amputees it can be difficult to hold a regular vacuum if you have lost both hands. For bilateral amputees it can be difficult to push a vacuum all around the house.

This limits the need to get up and down which could take more time if you take off your leg. Also because it can be controlled from your phone it makes it easier for someone who lost hands to control the thermostat. As amputees our temperature runs hot so we may have to change the thermostat temperature often.

Tower Fan with Bluetooth:A Tower Fan with Bluetooth is helpful to an amputee because we normally run hot so we need a fan. But it sucks when you forget to turn the fan on and you already took off your leg. So having the phone connectivity is great because you can control it from your phone. They do come with remotes however, you have to make sure the remote is next to you. Also for an upper limb amputee the remote could be hard to use. With Bluetooth you can also cool down a room before you go there. The Air purifier is an added benefit to help air quality.

Shower Bench:
As an amputee, you can no longer stand in the shower and will need a shower bench. With a shower bench, you will be able to transfer from your wheelchair onto the shower bench to take your shower. The one is ideal because it fits into your tub with two legs inside the tub and two legs outside the tub.
